PROGRAMS AND CURRICULUM
Kindergartner to Grade 5
Building Academic Confidence through Fun Learning
At NCA Elementary School, our students build healthy appetites for academic excellence. Your child works closely with our expert teachers who recognize and promote every student’s individual interests and potentials, while challenging all students to continually set and achieve higher goals.
Our elementary school curriculum is accelerated in every core subject, especially mathematics where our students stand at two or more levels above their current grade. Students build creative insight and effective habits with intensive lessons in coding, Chinese language learning, physical education, science, logic, arts, music, research skills, and international field trips.
We are dedicated to stimulating enthusiasm, fostering creativity, and strengthening intuition in mathematical problem solving.
Our Art Program provides canvas painting, oil paint, and sketching, taught by experienced artists for students from Pre-K to Grade 5. This provides students with avenues to explore and develop their creative potential.
Music education in the elementary school level is a vital aspect of a successful school’s curriculum. Our students learn through sing songs and games. In addition we offer students the opportunity to study vocal and instrumental music as well as music theory, addressing the needs of both experienced and experimental musicians through individualized and group instruction.
CODING AND ROBOTICS
Our coding and robotics program helps students develop math, logic, critical thinking and problem solving skills, and challenges them to think creatively.
Our students rotate through multiple learning environments including music, art, science, dramatic play, and games. This ensures daily exposure to STEAM-based learning, which uses a hands-on, systematic approach to teach science, Chinese language learning, the arts, and mathematics while developing both problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Our experienced instructors guide students who learn online direct from home. Kids & Teens will learn coding, math, Chinese, English language arts & More!
THE STUDENT EXPERIENCE
Build Lasting Relationships
Student culture plays a key role in our NCA experience. We’ve created a safe and accessible environment where students are encouraged to discuss ideas, collaborate on projects, share their work, and receive feedback from fellow students and teachers. We give students the foundation to bring their potential to life.
Fire Station Tour
The fire station tour is an educational activity intended to allow students view fire apparatus and equipment. Students can enjoy an up-close look at an ambulance, fire truck or engine and tour where firefighters prepare their exercise and how they rescue people from emergencies.
What The Parents Are Saying
So far we are very impressed with the school, Security and the staff they are extremely kind and very involved, The Curriculum pushes each student to Excel at healthy rate. Without pushing too far. Our child has been enrolled in more than a couple other top academies in the valley, in our opinion this school is right up there near the top.
They also have many extracurricular activities in house making it extremely convenient for our child to study and have fun all of them at the same Location
My daughter and I love this place! She is excited to go to school and see her teachers and friends. Everyone there is very sweet, patient and helpful. My daughter's mandarin is developing fast! They are very attentive to her needs and are not quick to say no just because (she likes touching every bush as she walks out of school lol). She gets to do art projects every day, sing and dance, and go outdoors to play which is very important to me. They are very professional when it comes to keeping her and the other kids safety a priority with temperature checks, hand sanitizing and disinfecting the play area. I'm so grateful I found this place!
During the pandemic my son’s school closed. We finally chose to go to Baby University to continue his learning. The teachers put a lot of effort helping my son since he has been out for a couple of weeks. My son picked up very quickly and everyday he loves to go to school. We were asked to wear masks and the teachers help reminding the kids to keep them on. I am glad there are very few kids in the classroom and my son says they are asked to wash hands many times in a day. So far we are very satisfied about the school and they relieved our worries. If you are looking for a place where you child can really learn, safely, this is the right place to go. It’s worth the investment.
Fall 2020 was a tough time for students and parents.
My 5 year old son who had completed pre school at Challenger would've started Kindergarten at our nearby public school but we just could not move forward with the online schooling with Covid.
My wife and I attended NCA Kindergarten orientation and when I looked at their textbooks I didn't know if my son could hang. He was a good student at Challenger - could read well and add/subtract numbers by 1.
He would've done well at any public school but I had plenty initial doubts. Ms Cherry and the staff were on my speed dial for the first 4-6 weeks.
Fast forward 8 months and he has progressed to multiplication and division.
I can ask him, "What are the number of sides in an octagon times 5 divided by 4" and he has the answer within seconds.
He can read pin yin and has learned to write over 100 Chinese characters. We get weekly write ups on his progress in glass along with tons of pictures of my sons day!
The program is RIGOROUS but he is having fun learning and all of his classmates are doing well. He loves going to school.
Before Covid, we thought our child was an average student. NCA has unlocked our son's potential and we are thrilled with our decision to send him for Kindergarten.
